ABOUT THE FLIGHT CREW


Flight Crew is an opportunity for young people to build skills, make connections, grow their leadership, and bring their ideas and interests to life in a creative, supportive, and low-pressure environment.

The Crew is for ages 16–24 (*some exceptions can be made, contact us) and runs yearly from October through April, meeting twice a month. No prior experience is needed. What is needed...? A willingness to try new things, grow skill sets, and show up!


Empowerment is at the heart of Flight Crew. Based on the values and interests of participants, you will be supported with resources, connections, and inspiration to take action for what you care about. Action takes many forms, and each participant will gauge what that means for them.  There will be a range of group activities, personal reflection, and community interactions. Our approach is playful, engaging, respectful, and informed.


  • Receive mentorship and hands-on experience to grow as a leader (*as you define it).
  • Be inspired by young people across the state and nationwide.
  • Grow your skills ~ public speaking, advocacy, project management, and more.
  • Learn creative (and strategic) ways to express yourself.
  • Get connected to local leaders and learn from their experiences.
